      Why am I Passionate for Plant-Based Living?

       

      After seeing a loved one suffering from cancer, I struggled to understand why physicians based their healing approach on pharmaceutical drugs, rather than natural means and preventative medicine. I couldn’t understand why doctors are only trained in treating symptoms, rather than preventing illness—that led me to study Plant-Based Nutrition and the benefits of adopting healthy lifestyle habits.

      Studies have shown that health problems and diseases can be prevented or reversed simply by eating natural, nutrient-dense foods. According to Dr. Neal Bernard, clinical researcher, and founding president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), most—if not all—health problems and diseases can be prevented or reversed simply by eating natural, nutrient-dense foods. We should prescribe food as medicine!
